Cash Quest for Carers 2018
We would like to say thank you to all 22 teams that took part in Cash Quest for Carers 2018; raising £8,354 to support local carers.
Each team was given a returnable £50 and asked to raise as much as they could from 11 June to 30th September 2018.
A special presentation event took place on Friday 12th October at Beaverbrooks House including Bucks Fizz Reception, awards presentation and buffet.
Each team was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation as a thank you for taking part from Blackpool Carers’ Patrons, John Barnett MBE DL and his wife Danielle.
Three special trophies were awarded: Rob Frowen won the ‘Most Funds Generated’ Shield for raising £1,449 at his Sports Memorabilia Auction; Waterloo Primary School won the ‘Community Partnership’ Award. The ‘Most Innovative Idea’ Award was presented to Blackpool FC Community Trust for their National Citizen Service programme including ‘Dragons Den’ initiative, involving 45 young people.
Fundraising events included golf days, a Ladies Evening, cake sales, raffles, family fun night, bingo, ice pop sales, a Big One climb, book sale, online auction sales, psychic night, Sports Memorabilia auction, Ben Nevis climb, sponsored swim and car wash and many, many more.
