Caring Corporates

Benefits of becoming a Caring Corporate
Becoming a Caring Corporate with Blackpool Carers will help you to identify carers, support them to access appropriate support at the right time and improve staff retention, recruitment and wellbeing.
In Blackpool, thousands of people juggle a significant caring role alongside their working life.
The chances are that most working carers just ‘get on with it’. The challenge comes when a caring role becomes excessive or overwhelming. This is the time when a valuable member of your team may take sick leave or even leave your company.
Caring can have a lasting and powerful impact on so many aspects of life. It is both rewarding and demanding, and support from employers who work with Blackpool Carers means that carers can continue to be valued and committed employees whilst also continuing to care.
Continuing to work, is vital to many carers. It gives them a sense of routine and identity, increasing their self esteem and reducing isolation.
Strong and lasting relationships are important to us and we are committed to providing your organisation with a bespoke partnership, specific to your company’s aims and objectives.
Working with us will allow your organisation to benefit from a unique charitable relationship which will:
- raise your profile
- engage, retain and develop your workforce
- form a crucial part of your corporate social responsibility strategy.
NST Travel Group commented:
“Raising funds for a local charity enables us to get involved and see the impact our donations have on real people.”

Our Caring Corporates
We are extremely grateful to the following organisations who have joined our Caring Corporate Scheme and pledged to support unpaid carers, both in their workplace and local communities.
Charity Partnerships
One of the ways you can support us is to choose Blackpool Carers as your Charity Partner, this means that not only will you be helping your local Carers Centre raise vital funds it needs, you will also be giving your staff something to work towards together as well as projecting a positive corporate image to staff, customers and business partners.
You will receive lots of positive PR, in print, web and social media and at the end of your fundraising year, we will arrange a presentation with your staff or members to thank you for all your support.
Please contact Terry Hodkinson, Head of Business Development and Fundraising on 01253 393748 or email: terry.hodkinson@blackpoolcarers.org for more information on becoming a Caring Corporate, or to register us as your Charity Partner.
Support us by renting one of our rooms
Another way you can support us is to rent one of our many rooms or garden for your event. This could be a business meeting, training, birthday party or corporate function. Rooms vary in size and refreshments are included. We also offer a selection of buffets so you don’t have to worry about the catering!
Local networking group The Business Breakfast hold their weekly breakfast meetings at Beaverbrooks House and the benefits of partnership working have far exceeded expectations.
The Business Breakfast had this to say:
“Since we moved our Networking Group to Blackpool Carers in June 2018 it has become very clear that it was the right decision. The positivity that comes from the centre and all the staff that work there gives all our businesses a great boost every week. The members have loved getting involved with fundraising events to help have a positive effect on our community. Not only is it rewarding to know we are contributing to the support of this great charity but it gives our members exposure too, which helps them build integrity as a business. We feel that The Business Breakfast and Blackpool Carers has been a match made in heaven as we are both helping and supporting our local area.”
