Blackpool Tower will be lit up pink and blue especially for Young Carers Awareness Day on Thursday 25th January.
We will be holding 2 special events at Beaverbrooks House during Young Carers Awareness Day:
Meet the Team – 12.00 noon-3.30pm
Everyone is welcome, including professionals and young carers and their families, to find out what services we provide for the Young Carers from 12pm to 4pm.
Professionals’ Q&A Panel for Young Carers – 4.00-6.00pm
This is the main event that focuses on Young Carers.
We all want the best for the children and young people we support in Blackpool. So this is your chance to get a valuable insight into our service and how professionals can play a part in identifying and supporting Young Carers.
Young Carers will pose questions and professionals will also have the opportunity to ask questions. We see this as an opportunity to invest in the wellbeing of Young Carers.
If you are a professional or young carer and would like to attend either of the events please contact Rachel Lambert or Tara Bragg on 01253 393748.
Schools Super Snap Competition
Local schools including Highfurlong and Kincraig Primary and Children’s Centre are also taking part in our Schools’ Super Snap Competition during the day to raise funds for The Mayor’s Charity Campaign as well as raising awareness of young carers in schools.
