Hayley Kay wakes up the Fylde Coast every morning on Radio Wave’s Breakfast Show. Born and bred in Blackpool, Hayley is proud to be a ‘Sandgrown’un’ and is (of course) a huge Seasiders fan…as she says “If I was cut in half you’d see Blackpool running through me – just like a stick of rock!”. She started DJ’ing in 1996, becoming the Fylde’s first mainstream female DJ. Since then Hayley has DJ’d for Tony Blair at the 1998 Labour Party Conference and interviewed countless stars from the cast of Coronation Street and Jonathon Ross to Keith Lemon and Joan Collins! She joined Radio Wave in 2000. Hayley presented the Breakfast Show with Roy Lynch from 2003 before becoming part of Ged and Hayley at Breakfast from 2009. Hayley is a well-known presenter at events across the Fylde Coast including Miss Blackpool, Lytham Festival and the 101st Illumination Switch On Celebrations on the Tower Festival Headland with Gary Barlow & Madness. She has also hosted School’s Alive at The Grand since 2002 and works for various local charities. She is also an ambassador for Blackpool Carers Centre, Arthritis Care, Blackpool Scouts & Girlguiding UK.
