The film, made in November as a part of a week long project run by TrueTube, focused on the life and perceptions of Young Carers in Blackpool and was written, filmed and edited entirely by Tessie, Jaymelea and Frankiee (pictured).
Talking about the award Jaymelea, who is also the Young Carers' Champion at Blackpool Carers Centre, said:
"We never expected to win an award, I can't believe that we came second out of 800 entries. It's been an amazing night' one that we won't forget!"
Part of their prize includes an acting workshop with "Max & OB" from Channel 4's Hollyoaks.
We would like to thank Peter Howarth of the Bestwestern Glendower Promenade Hotel for his generous donation towards the outfits worn by the Young Carers.
Their winning film can be viewed here

Make a difference - Save a Life!
Blackpool Carers Centre is a network member of The Princess Royal Trust for Carers that was founded in 1991 on the initiative of Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, as successor of the George Square Trust.
The Princess Royal Trust for Carers acknowledged that all carers require information, support and recognition or their individual needs and, consequently, meeting these needs became the focus.
Blackpool Carers Centre is now one of 144 Carers’ Centres who are network members across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. HRH is actively involved with the work of The Princess Royal Trust for Carers and regularly visits the Carers’ Centres and attends fund-raising events and conferences with the aim of making a difference to the lives of carers at all levels.
